Oops, RAM full? I just exported the latest version of KP: Busted as an MP4 video, and for the first time I received a warning that my memory is low. I don't play videos, so I don't need much memory on my PC. However, I don't know how Shotcut works. It looks like my 32 GB of memory won't be enough soon, and the animation is only halfway done. Currently it has a total length of 1:51 minutes and the 8k version is 71.8 MiB in size. I will try to find more information about Shotcut's memory usage, but the easiest solution would be to split the production into two videos that I can combine later rather than buying new RAM. It's frustrating that I've always had motherboards with four RAM slots, yet I've never needed more than two. Now, I can only replace the RAM instead of adding more because my current motherboard only has two slots.
Once again, I must complain about the AI voices. It's too early for such a production; the AI technique is still in its infancy. It's unfortunate that the voices sound a bit awkward. Searching the web for something more suitable would take too much time, and professional AI voices are out of my budget.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Update:
Shotcut minimum system requirements: RAM: At least 4 GB for SD, 8 GB for HD, and 16 GB for 4K.
No word about 8K, so I guess it will be 32GB. Seems I will have to get used to that warning message.
