Gagala News (G-log #3)

This short, six-picture animation is just a cutout of the final scene of the short movie KP: Busted. It has nothing to do with the story; I just needed an animation running on Possible's TV in the background. So it's nothing special.

By the way, only 720p versions of animations will be available in the Public Lair in the future.

Another cartoon series has ended, although the ending suggested that more episodes were coming. However, you never know with "D" productions. The creator managed to break the rule about limited episodes for "D" cartoon series (the devil knows how he managed that), and now season five of "Phineas & Ferb" is in production. So there might be a little hope of seeing more of Winifred and Lauren from "Hamster & Gretel". And Veronica Hill... (err, the field news reporter, not any other with the same name).

Honestly, I hope the girl-on-girl relationship in "The Owl House" will not be an exception in future cartoons.

If Lauren can't have Kevin, maybe she should try to get Winifred. After all, it would be the same family. (Hey! Let me dream, will you?. Thanks.) I allow myself a brief glimpse into the future, letting Winifred and Lauren appear in the final sequence of my animation as I would like to see them.

The problem is that I couldn't find a single frame of Lauren/The Destructress without headgear, so I had to create my own version with open hair. I didn't want her to wear a cap in this animation. I hope you agree.

While a bathrobe still has to be knitted for Ann, Kim stays as she is. Only a slight blush will appear on her cheeks in the animation.

The guest star will probably be another lesser-known cartoon character. I was thinking of Winifred "Fred" Grant wearing her gymnastics outfit.

The last scene will feature Ann, Kim, and someone on the TV screen. Shaniqua gave it her all, and the program will continue, so someone will have to be there, but I still haven't decided who.

I made a few minor changes again, and now Scene 24 will be the last one. I hope to finish the whole project before the end of this month. Currently, it is 2 minutes and 22 seconds long, plus the next scene and the end credits.

There will be five versions:

• 720p, censored for advertising purposes
• 720p after one month available in the public Secret Lair
• 1080p for Siver supporters
• 2160p for Gold supporters
• 4320p for Platinum supporters

Ann still has to get dressed. Currently, I'm not sure what to let her wear. It has to be simple so that work can proceed quickly. Then Kim will follow, and then I will animate this scene.

The beginning of last week was terribly hot here, with nights reaching 71.6°F (22°C). Last night it was 53.6°F (12°C), which made it much easier for me to work. If I could, I would move to Antarctica; I've never been a fan of summer.

The good news is that PhillipThe2 created a new masterpiece for the Fourth of July. Thank you for sharing, Phil, and for the great job you did! The bad news is that Phil was furloughed from his job for two months due to layoffs in the video game industry. Let's keep our fingers crossed for him!

Until now, I have been cheating a bit with the text in my current animation project. Synchronizing the lips to the spoken text takes a lot of work for a rookie like me, so I made them speak when they were not visible. Now, I'm at the final scenes, and Ann enters the room. I can't use this trick for all scenes, though. Kim will speak, and this must be seen, just like part of Ann speaking. I'm working as fast as I can, but carefully. The most time is lost correcting errors, but sometimes errors are discovered too late, and removing them would require too much effort. What bothers me most is that I can't afford the professional voice actors I found. I'm disappointed with some of the voices, but I can't help it. Most of the material is too compressed (MPEG), so the range for manipulating it is too narrow. You can even hear that it was manipulated when I try to extend an original moan of Kim's, so I have to abandon that idea. Thanks for your understanding and patience.
